The Universal Ostrich Farm needs your help to get this message out and put pressure on the Federal Government and the CFIA.
The CFIA is planning to kill all their ostriches, even though the birds are healthy and not used for human consumption. These ostriches are part of important antiviral research and are helping develop treatments for avian flu and other viruses.
Meanwhile, wild birds are spreading disease across North America—but the government is doing nothing to stop the spread from wildlife.
We need an exemption for this farm—NOW.
If we truly want to support farmers and foster innovation, outdated regulations must be changed.
This is time-sensitive—the CFIA could come to cull the birds at any moment.
